Your HERO Board can already blink lights and read buttons. This case gives it new ways to feel the world around it: temperature and humidity, sound, light, flame, magnets, touch, tilt and a heartbeat sensor. And new ways to answer back, from RGB lights and a laser to a buzzer and a relay.
Each module is a small board with its own pins, so it wires onto a breadboard like any other part. Learn one, and it becomes one more thing you can put in whatever you build next.
The free SensorKit course has a short filmed walkthrough for each of these, titled with the module's KY number so you can match it to the one in your hand. The case holds 37 modules in all.
One of the 31 walkthroughs, filmed on the HERO Board. Each one is a few minutes long.

No. It's the modules and the case. The walkthroughs use a HERO Board, a breadboard and jumper wires, and 30 Days Lost in Space and Cogsworth City both include all three. The HERO Board is also sold on its own with its USB cable.
Yes, and it's free. The SensorKit course on craftingtable.com has 31 short filmed walkthroughs, one module each, and 30 of them come with example code. It's a reference for learning each module, not a step-by-step project series.
The modules are printed with a factory part number, not their name. Each walkthrough is titled with the module's KY number and films that module on the bench, so you can match each one by sight.
It's made as a next step. The walkthroughs are short and focus on the module, so they're easiest once you've wired a breadboard and uploaded code before, which is what 30 Days Lost in Space and Cogsworth City teach.
No. The crate already includes the 37-in-1 Sensor Kit.
A Windows, Mac or Chromebook computer with Chrome or Edge and an internet connection, for the lessons and the simulator.
