You wired a little status beacon into a spare board back in your cargo-bay hideout, just so a line scrolls up on the screen and reminds you the ship still knows you're aboard. Trouble is, it's crawling — the "BEACON ONLINE" line barely creeps out, way slower than it should. Somebody typed the code's got a bug in it, and now you're squinting at it between snacks to spot what's off.
