0 – Getting Started with your Raspberry Pi Pico W (Firmware, Thonny IDE, and Blink)

Download the Thonny IDE:  https://thonny.org/

Download required firmware:  DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE

Board says Pico 2 W ? That firmware won't run on it. Download the Pico 2 W firmware instead: micropython.org/download/RPI_PICO2_W . For button projects on a Pico 2 W: its built-in pull-downs can stick on after the first press (a known chip quirk), so where a lesson uses Pin.PULL_DOWN with a button to 3.3V, wire the button to GND instead, use Pin.PULL_UP , and read 0 as pressed.
